Here we go with plenty of photos from this years event. Before anyone gets too excited this run covers hot rods, customs and classics and some may see things that they think are O/T.If you don't like them skip them.

I think that there is plenty of variety and most will appreciate the cars for what they are.

Officially this is the last Wintersun, but it would appear that there will still be an event next year but just with a new name.Let's hope so.We have rebooked our accomodation anyway.

I will start with a selection of Aussie cars and then move on.Over 200 photos so be patient. Also the last picture is a plaque commemorating the sinking of the ship Coolangatta after which the area was named.

Will now move onto some hot rods etc.The first one is one of the early hot rods built here in Queensland.I remember riding my push bike over to the Servo at Ashgrove in the early 60's and seeing this car and many other early hot rods on the scene then.

There is a wild bullet nose Studebaker with a ute back.

I am now going to slip in some shots of an iconic Australian car.
The Holden Monaro started in 1968 and continued through the early 70's.
It was then reincarnated in 2001 in the modern version and actually exported to the USA in the later 2000's as the Pontiac GTO

And on.The Skyliner Ford had what appeared to be a genuine Ford hood used for display purposes. It was specially marked as such

Gary, these are the only other photos I could find.It is probably an old tourer cut down and a wooden tray back made up.Next time I will try to get a rear shot(I usually only do those shots when it is a short skirt or nice rear in shorts)
