You've got some serious talent! The car is looking great, can't wait to see it in paint.

Heres a few more pics of Gil's car ...this is also the car that inspired Banditomerc's build !
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() In this last pic you can see the way the "surround" at the top of the grille is molded in and really smoothed in ...also the front splash pan is nicely frenched or smoothed in as well...sometimes its hard to see all the details in these old grainy pics ...but I still love them! Here's an idea Steve. The top of the surround is molded in but flares out a little from the body and tapers at the ends, not sure what the actual terminology is. Kinda subtle but breaks up the front a little. I also sank the grill in a couple of inches. Eli

That looks fantastic ! It actually looks more "classy" than custom if that makes any sense ...which is how I think a custom based on this era needs to look....ya got me fired up good !! I dont suppose you feel like doing it all grey adding the skirts and lowering it a bit more
I am gonna print this out at work this week on some nice cardstock and put it up in the shop for some inspiration !! Thanks again eh!

Now maybe a dodad above that centre strip attached to the hood to cap that off. Just a cap maybe with a blunt end or a point. Not all the way up.
In the filled in version the two lines aren't as appealing as the one. I realise now, the two are there in the first one as well just hidden by the colour difference. The second line is sort of like a faint mustache on a model. IMO. I like the stock looking headlight rings too. Doug.

Something like this maybe, like a continuation of the centre piece of the grill. Could be carved out of aluminum.
