I hear ya, Steve.
Just think how nice it will be this winter in there...
Life has been in the way for me too. Too many people sick and too much to fix.
I haven't touched the T in a month.
But I did manage to get home a BMW straight 6, 5 speed trans and independent rear clip. NO idea what I'll do with it yet. Maybe someone will want to trade something of interest.
Next trip I make with the trailer I'll drop off that cowl. Probably next month.
How's the missus doing?

Yes, updates of the shop would be good to see.
Glad Mrs. Koolkemp is doing better.
Thanks about the T. Those fenders are from the AA truck I might get to before I die. I hope to get 28-29 style ones for the T at some point.
Right now it looks like a Beverly Hillbillies thing but that's mock up.
I'll be sure to let you know when I drop by. I'm heading to Kentville this Wed. to bring my son for a follow-up but that will be an up and back quick trip.

Its already dark here before I get home from work ....but at least its been fairly mild and no damn snow yet ! I will finally have a few pics up after this weekend, the "new" winter beater is mobile, so its my turn for the 47 ....finally!! Cant believe I haven done any welding on it since April I have been getting some other stuff gathered up for it ...planning a long winter of work. Got all the garage insulated except the ceiling ,got all the vapor barrier done as well and some more lighting even. It should be easier to get more done cause I should actually be sorta warm this year !

If I lived in SoCal I would not have to fix something this rusty ...let alone wasting time building a winter car lol! I cant wait to be warm AND work on the car..I am hoping that I can get it warm enough to actually spread mud and lay down primer .

Heat in a garage?
Luxury!
Man.. easy to see you aren't from this area.
Kidding man.
We actually have a stove in my brother's garage this year. Maybe I'll get stuff done too.
How's the back?

Alriiiiight! Glad to hear you're gonna get going on it again. This had been one of my favorite builds. As for the weather, just move over here. The weather is always nice and there are plenty of rusty cars to work on! You'd be right at home!

I'm anxious to see more progress on your car as well. Glad you were able to get some insulation in your garage, definitely makes it easier to work when you can actually feel your fingers. haha

Not too bad Joe as long as I take the pills to kill the nerve pain...its seems to be coming on a little quicker now so when I feel it starting I just go in and hit the heating pad...it will be a yr in Jan and still no appointment with the back specialist yet lol,(not that they will have anything worthwhile or intelligent to say) damn clowns !

That's about the time frame I usually hear about.
I took so many robaxicet and delaudid for my back before surgery that they do nothing for me if I take them now.
Good for you to stop when you feel the pain. Smart! Heat helps. The right stretching and exercise helps.
Hawaii... hmmm sounds good.
Dog the Bounty Hunter? Ya.. ok.

Heres a couple of pics of the front clip/rad support & front bumper mounts...these may yet get modified I got another small rad to try...new one for a V8 Monza...we will see it it will keep a stock 305 cool..

I will box in the front of the frame when I get the body off to do a bit of final welding on the frame and get it painted.

I did have to interrupt work on the car for a quick cruise to Flatheadfevers place ..it was too nice here this weekend and I hadnt had the Chevy out for a spin in quite a while..

The plan for this weekend was to swap the rear springs ..I bought some s10 leafs that had a couple of leafs removed for $20 ...I was tired of looking at the ass so high in the air so I figured this would be a good return to working on the car.Took me just about the whole day to get them changed, couldnt get any of the spring bolts out ,had to cut them all...then I removed the over engineered bumpstops that were over welded to the frame! (forgot to take pics of that fun) So this morning I pulled the front coils out and cut one loop off them . I was pretty pumped to see it on the ground...and not sitting like a 4x4 !

The back bumper will have the guards as well and the current plan is to use some motorcycle tail lights ,probably mounted to the guards and the license plate will be on the bumper as well. I also have a much nicer front bumper with half decent chrome on it .

Pretty stoked to see it outside again ! It still needs to come down a bit in the ass end ...2-3 inches I think. I got some lowering blocks around here some place when I find them I will install them ...but so far I am pleased with the stance at this point in mock-up Next up is prolly gonna be figuring out how to set up the 42 grille ..I got a few ideas ...suggestions welcome though!
