Hope to sandblast it again (the new metal) and sand the grey primer lightly within a week or two and then going to primer it black. Going to be great to see it in a darker color!

Eric,
Hello. Wow you have been busy! Nice work, and I see you have the same problem areas that these Plymouth all seem to have. I'm surprised about the fitment problems with the panels from the Plymouth Doctor. We are not at that stage yet but thanks for the heads up on the problem sheet metal! We are just back from Freeport, Bahamas mon... nice but not that nice. I should have stayed home and worked on the body parts. LOL My project should be having some new posts this week. My fabricator completed the rear and is ready to place the body on the chassis. We went to a car show today, and saw a nice '36 Plymouth coupe with a 392, blown hemi running on E-85. I can PM you if you want some photos. The project is coming along nicely, keep it up.

I was in Copenhagen last saturday and met up with James. (Jamesville here on the Hamb). What a great guy! He picked us up from the hotel in his beautiful 36 Ford and showed us around his shop where he's building some killer bikes! This guy knows his bikes, absolute amazing pieces of art. He then took us out to dinner in this great little bodega. I had a great time and want to thank James again for taking his time to show us around!

Got you, the Plymouth Doctor is a good guy. You had me scared for a while, I have a whole truck full of sheet metal, some from the Plymouth Doctor. You know how large the trunk is? LOL

No need to worry, I just received an email from him that he'll even refund the shipping costs, as well as the parts. So yes, he's a good guy.

The great thing about our time zones is that when I get on the hamb (usually at night) I get fresh updates!! Your car is definitely inspiring me in my build. Looking real good, Thanks Eric!

More progress! Things are really moving now. The fenders are welded on and the top vertical part of the cowl is done. This came out looking fantastic. The fenders will be smoothed out using lead and hope to get that done this week. At this pace the body will be done by the end of the week. I hope.

Continuing on from my last post....Martin and I did find some rust in the area above the door, in the lower part of the roof. So it was time to get the grinder out, weld in some new strips and clean it up. Now she's rust free!
I also found some time to sand the right hand side lead work and started cutting out the old door retainers. A bear claw system will be installed in the door/b pillar later.

Fabricated some parts to fill in the b-pillar and welded them in place. Behind this piece I welded on a 2 mm steel plate in order to reinforce it for the doorlock pin. Martin and I got a good start getting some lead on the fenders until we ran out of lead.......the right fender is done, requiring only some smoothing out. The pics are taken by my phone. (The missus needed the camera.

Thanks Rock. I think it will be ready for paint in a few months, finally. I'm following your thread closely and like what I see!
