I hear ya on that, my friend (who I can't seem to convert) has a civic, now it is a civic, but its like 600 hp and looks completely stock. I can respect that, at least he dosn't have some dumb ass wing on it and a stock engine. The funny thing is, he has blown the motor up 3 times. I keep telling him I have a Hemi in the garage that he can build and won't have that problem lol.

I got enough snow growing up in northeast Ohio, we used to go out and work on cars in the snow because we HAD to, usually need a tetanus shot later too because of all the rust. That takes balls to do that, I'm down here in the deep south now, and i've seen enough snow growing up to last a lifetime. Left turn thank you for the post, I understand you completly, I have a 25 year old import myself and it's no civic, the community I belong to hates fart cans and big wings too. I understand the rat rod thing completly, people giving the hobby a bad name, I get the same thing, just because I drive an old import the cops hate me. I drive reasonable and don't act like an iidiot but the returds get everyone profiled.
the idiots driving around in these falling apart POS's give everyone a bad name. some people just don't take pride in what they build.

Loving this thread. Every time I see a 'rat rod,' I always think that it could be pretty cool if you un-fucked it. Cool to see one having it done.

Whole new body, I've got some of the framework, and panels already done. I'll probably be posting pics this week... It looks awsome, I really impressed myself with with the shape. I hope to take it for a test drive by the middle of next week.
