Went to the Starbird show to see Jack Walker's 41 Buick Coupe. It was designed
by MK John and it is a full blown kustom. Lot of kool Body changes......The back
side of the front fenders is '47 Cadillac tailights are upside down '47 Cadillac, 56
Old headlight buckets, with peaked front fenders. If Starbird asked me who deserves
the $20K it would be Jack.

Sorry for the bad pics I plan on going back up today to take some better pictures.

    Stay tuned for more pictures....

Finally a car that deserves to wear "port holes"! If I see another Dodge Ram truck or Honda with the "Auto Bone" press on port holes I'll scream! ;)

I think it is a beautiful car. Even though "portholes" are a trademark with a "Buick" I think the car would look better without them.

It also resembles the famous 40 Mercury; I like that car as well. The Matranga

Very nice... Thanks for posting more photos of it.

Feels a lot like a Janne Kutja design coming to live.

Thought that this needed bumped up to the top.

They did a lot of different kustom touches to this Buick that you have to study.
I think that we get into the traditional thinking and we get stuck into a rut. It
is kool that Jack was brave enough to kustomize an already beautiful car and try
something different and still stay within the peroid. This is why I'm a Kustom fan
    because it stretches the imagaination.

I just love the front '47 Caddish fenders......

The liscense blends in better then my pics. Hopefully Ian you'll have the chance to
see it this year in Salina..

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

The car is very nice. Does anybody know who built and painted the car? Did anybody get any interior shots?. Thanks. Stu
