Hopefully it was a fellow HAMBer that picked this up.... I see an ad that says "Ford Coupe- $15,000 obo"... Open it up and here's the car: I called the guy and it had sold literally MINUTES before my call. All steel, he owned it since '57. It was just outside of Seattle for those of you in that area... (now you can kick yourselves too!) MAN! What a deal!
maybe I'm missing something but whys this a good deal? I've seen em in much nicer shape for less money
Really... You've seen all steel full fendered 32 ford 5w coupes in better shape for less than 15k. Well the next time you do, just quietly send me the number!
You do know that's not a Model A right???? It's a real deal '32 that should be fetching 3 time the amount!
Hey now, sounds like he's seen a couple of these around. Apparently there's plenty of reasonably priced 32 5w's to go around. Okay I'll stop being a condescending a$$ now.
First thing I would do is sell the hood .Id get most of my money back on initial price ,Then by a 25 louver Rootlieb .Damn I wish I had that kind of money .
it was 15k or best offer we called it had a v6 in it a guy was going to go get the money we were 10 minutes to late .......jeffrey
You must have talked to him right after I did. He told me it had just sold MINUTES before I called. I can't complain too bad I guess. I got a great deal on a '55 last month. But this was a 32!!!! Man, that car just looks like it wants ME to own it!!!
The sad thing is , the seller was probably real damn happy about the deal ! He had that 32 that he paid next to nothing when he was in high school and made $15,000 on so he did OK . Yea those do kinda give you that damn big empty feeling in your stomach when they tell you I just sold it ! OH WELL..... RetroJim
hopefuly its kept in one piece and not seeing fenders hood and frame on craigslist cuz some guy is building a ratrod! but if someone spends 15 on somethin they have to have common sense what it really is
Sorta funny I realize it is a real deal '32 five window but geez I still don't have 15k to throw down on a rod....Oh well no wonder I don't have one.
with a screen name like that i would think you'd be able to tell the difference between a model a and a 32' ford. anyway, someone got lucky. wish it was me i'd sure drive it for a bit, then flip it and buy a few rods i have on my wish list.
