"The Dream Team"
A custom Nomad towing a Cheetah to a weekend of racing. Sounds like a formula for fun to me.

little monster
I've been heavily influenced by 3Sheets recently...what can i say...besides i hope that he's flattered and not pissed. ![]() ![]() Just having fun Painting signs is one of those things that frustrate me some. I used to really dread the prospect because it's not something that comes as naturally to me as I wish. I, like most folks starting out, have watched seasoned sign painters effortlessly produce quality works in no time flat, and I walk away thinking..."looks easy enough". The problem is that there's a lot of technical knowledge that real professional sign painters are intimately aware of. And the short time it takes for them to actually produce the sign is the culmination of countless hours of faithfully studying and applying years of experience. I've got a long road to hoe and lots of things to figure out before I'll get the point where i can knock out a solid sign...but i'm learning and i'm seeing progress in my work and that's all always enjoyable. Here my newest signs...i'm liking them and I hope you do to. |

Yo Rocky, nice paint slappin'!
Gary, I really like that take on the Nomad. Very cool image. Bob the Photo builder, diggin' on #3. The ghoul in #1 freaks me out a bit. #2, Nice. Here's one I posted, apparently, too late last week. So I'll repost it this week: Here's a sketch I did for an upcoming project, inspired by and based loosely on a famous and recently restored Candy Apple red custom some may be familiar with. Current working title is "Coffinesque"

My first post! Found you guys around two months ago, figured I'd step up to bat. I have been painting on again - off again (mostly off) for about 2 years, and cars the last 6 months. hope you all dig.

Man it's been way too long since my last post. Been doing more cycle stuff lately. The Street Chopper art is on the last page of the current issue on stands now. Maybe if you ask John from Acme nicely, he'll let me post the designs I did for him a few months ago.
Gary C., I don't know how you manage to show awesome work every week. Great stuff so far everyone! ![]()

I had some time to draw over the festive season: I don't get so much these days.
I'd started a thread about building a sort of trials special out of hatchback bits but, doubtless because it could more easily go further than nearer the traditional zone, Ryan closed it. However, this is what I was getting to: ![]() The idea is to force a bunch of non-traditional parts into a traditional mind-set. Yes, the chains will be strong enough, and yes, they are available in those lengths. They'll need frequent maintenance, though. Most of the mechanical bits here are from a VW Golf MkI - mainly because I've got one parked outside and I can just run down and check. In practice dinky little L&T drums on the front wouldn't be such a good idea unless that's a stock 1300. |

... Nedd Ludd that's so good- if threads are closed on stuff like it, well.. "bring on another 283 model A" ( - not that there's anything wrong with that ...what overheating ? .. "whaddya mean you cant get in it ?"). Bravo.
Anyway.. Here's some corrective detailing on the Georget Fiat. Phew.. Here also is a 'thread closed' concept- a 30's style G.T. doctor's coupe- British style (b.y.o dollies & 'wheels), aussie chassis , japanese tyres (race?)- world beater ! Wow Gary- I can see that front on the Nomad..Yes yes- !! A32Fh- 1 sweet post. Jokem- Whazza material ?- looks slick 'n' clean & good Now back to the shiraz & French pop music..

A couple of my attempts at pinstriping a 50 caliber ammo can.
One thing I learned it to keep the sleeve of my shirt out of the wet paint!
