trimmed the opening on this shoebox and shaped 1/4" rod around the tail light. mounted them from the inside so they were flush to the outside..and ignore the bling:rolleyes:

Funny, when did 49-52 Chevys start to be called shoeboxes?
Only the 49-51 Fords were called shoeboxes that I remember because they are a boxed symmetrical shaped body whereas the Chevys have bulbous hoods, some are fastbacks and all have bulbous decks nothing like a shoebox at all.

  14. Any pics of the whole car? That is very different and very cool.

  15. Here's one we did.

  16. Depending on how Krazzy your getting with custom work this may not work for you. It's my 51 Vicky, very mild all around. Just cleaned up and simple. 2 Shots during and the finish results.

  17. I have heard of tri-five 1955-56-57 Chevies called shoeboxes for years, even before the Fords were.

Nice car. The Buster Litton car is one of my favorites. Is yours a clone or were you just inspired by his car??
