gene lades 32 coupe in 1963

  1. then and now.flathead then a caddy then a hillborn injected 401 nailhead automatic first built in the early 50's as a show car then as a race car till 65 then back to show car in the 80's as it sits now in holbrok mass with dual quads and the nailhead

    i just made this post in the 3 window thread and figured ide put it here too

    had to search this whole thread for this car.. as i was brushing my teethe this morning i was looking at the cup that hods the toothbrushes. its the ty-rods 29th anniversary mug. and this coupe is pictured on it.. just thought it was cool../

    Genes coupe is what hot rodding is about. His family wont sell it.

  16. saw the hotrod the other day sucks that it just sits there. his son let the hot-rod plate expire someone else has it now still looks good

    Some years back at Carlisle I purchased print # 4 of this picture from the artist Dan McCrary. The following year at Carlisle I asked him if he would sell me the original if he had it. We struck a deal and he sent it to me.

    I bought it because I liked it and it reminded me of a chopped olds powered Tudor highboy a local club raced back in the late 50’s and early 60’s. My father-in-law let the club meet in his garage and later owned the car. Years later he gave it to one of my brother in-laws. He’s revived the car for the street.

    Never put together the car in the picture was the Lade coupe until I saw this thread. But that’s the car all right.

    Sorry for the poor quality photo.
