Can't get enough of this thread!!! Here 4-5 times a day. Amazing how many "new" concepts are merely dusted off versions of old ideas!

Doc, I pray that folk in Queensland are faring a tad better, day by day. Sounds as though the flooding has been damned awful, and it'll take months -- or years -- to get over it all. Especially, farmers may not get a crop in this year. God bless and comfort every suffering soul.

Can't offer much in the way of definite facts, but certainly late 60's/early 70's. I LOVE the stance of the yellow truck BTW, the coupe is a little high for my personal taste, but all are very cool.

Doc, this is among my favorite World War I shots. But
because photography was still a technologically "set-piece"
affair, he went to the dark room and melded three negative
images to create a realistic battlefield image of what an
over-the-top, early-morning attack was like. I respect
the intent Frank had, but others still decry his technique.

In a different vein, I'll bet thousands of boys would have
loved to have airborne machine guns strafing the German
positions to soften up resistance a tad. Bottom line is
that this is a keen photo-composition, but the boys gen-
erally went over the top with nothing but the pounding
the Ausie heavies could pour into the German positions
beforehand.
