She passed away in 1978, year I got married.
The manger was actually at my grandmothers house.

I would love to have that one today, it was huge!
My uncle got that, or threw it away, or sold it, I don't know.

Such a simpler time, fun toys.
Today, my grandkids got WII games.

This brings back good memories of Christmas 1954.This Lionel set is a 1952 or 1953 1503WS,whistle and smoke set.I have still have my 1954 version,green gondola instead of black.Merry Christmas and thanks Dog and all the other HAMBers for the great Christmas memories.

Les-I still have a fond memories of Dinky Toys in the 1950's.I would get one when we would go to Downtown Detroit Hudson's,12th floor was the toy department.They had a large glass counter and display case of full Dinky Toys.They were the only store i remember in Detroit that sold them as they were somewhat expensive.

I still have fond memories of the toy department in Rikes department store in downtown Dayton and looking at all the toys that was in there,I remember the big train set they had and it was the same brand that I had (Marklin) and wanted to buy stuff for it but even back in the 70s was very expensive.
