Mazooma, in the July '66 issue of Cavelier what is " renewable virginity"? On second thought maybe we don't want to know.

Jimi'shemi,

Yes.

This old photo I found this past week correlates well with the photo you posted a while back showing Gable posing with a 1937 Packard. I provided some comments about your picture in post #11450.

The poster in my photo claims the dispalyed car was Mr. Gable's. Boy does it look rough. Someone removed the sidemounts, but you can see the well in the fender behind the right front wheel. Certainly a diamond in the rough that someone must have restored by now.

I included both photos below.

Folks may know more to the story.

Lighten up, Francis!
That's what makes the National Lampoon so funny. Their ads appear to be real, they are so well done.
I do remember some 40 years ago, that VW was not at all happy with the Lampoon....

MrFire, I'm sure you've seen The Goodies episode featuring the Rolf Harris safari park, nothing but Rolf Harris's.
I can't find it, but here's Jake The Peg

I apologize Mazooma, I had you figured all wrong,
seems to me you would go for the 'life size lovely mermaid' or 'the peeping tom pocket scope'..
