have to post this post from aaca forum 'cause it's neat...
I might be wrong,---But I think these pix were taken at the time Tucker was fighting the BIG 3 auto makers
That claimed Tucker was a fraud & assembying his cars out of used auto parts. So Tucker had a bunch of his cars parked out front of the courthouse for the public to observe---Including the jury!
But alas, the big 3 won out & Tucker faded into the "Sunset".
The one & only Tucker I saw was on display in Long Beach,Ca. in 1948.---------Don

A little history as I grew up at that place. That is the old Fairgrounds Speedway in Birmingham, Alabama. There were times when cars would end up in that Hog Barn.

That is the grandstands.

Brings back a lot of memories.

'Zooma, any idea what year this Ply concept is? Sort of resembles
the Chrysler Plainsman concept of '56. Thanks for posting, bro!

Thanks AGAIN, Mazooma! I've been an Elvis appreciater since I first
heard him sing "Heartbreak Hotel" on AM radio in summer '56, then
saw him on Ed Sullivan. But I NEVER saw this promo pic before. Keen.

Since his career really fell into three distinct phases, tons of people
today don't realize what a revolutionary talent he was at 21 when he
exploded onto the national radar screen. To appreciate that, one only
has to realize that the music scene consisted of the fading Big-Band
and Swing eras, "Your Hit Parade" on radio with the likes of Perry Como
and the Maguire Sisters, plus country/western acts like Tex Ritter and
Jean Shepherd. Suddenly the hip-shakin' Tennesseean upset the apple
cart of what constituted popular music up to 1956 !!!

Not being a dick, I really appreciate your posts, Mazooma, but that's a 57-58 Eldorado Brougham, not a 54.

You're right.....you know all those numbers and letters gibberish that are on your screen when you post a photo?

this is what it says:
IMG-http://189/a;bums/z72/number%20two%20and/Cadillac-Eldorado_1954_800x600_wallpaper_01.jpg

this is what was on that photo ID gibberish, so I was wrongly going by that info.
Sometimes that's all I have, so I go with it.
But I should have known better on the Caddy....
