At the tender age of 11 my job was to hand deliver the daily menus to the bars, restaurants and hotels in the area.
I saw a lot for my age. And ate a lot of 25 cent hot dogs. And already was accumulating all sorts of derelict and ancient rusted iron in our driveway and garage.

This one amazes me. We had the technology to build those skyscrapers, but there were still horse drawn buggies on the roads....

Make me realize 100% that our greatness has passed. We are lazy and lack the intelligence our previous generations had in spades.

  18. As usual, Dog is the man...er, you know what I mean! It is amazing some people had the sense to photograph just the common things in life we take for granted. And it's a good thing some others had the brains to save and share them. Thanks man...dog...oh skip it!-MIKE:D:cool:;)

There's one of the dam at the lake of the Ozarks. I recognized it because I drove across it about 30 times a day for a month and a half.

The boat on the left side looks different today but the dam is still as narrow.
    I love the old pictures
    Thanks for sharing these
