No. It says "Last vehicle of Studebaker's 1st Century" - 1952. I don't know if they're still around - does anyone else know?

It would be interesting if there are photos of the very last Studebaker made along with the ones pictured here. I'm guessing the last one would be some sort of Avanti? Sorry if I'm wrong on that. Don't mean to offend any Studebaker guys. Ask me a question about a Tucker and I'll know the answer

I believe the guy with the dark collar turned up on his jacket is Bob Williams, one of our old neighbors. He was a Stude union steward around the time that picture was taken.

OH SHIT!!! Finally I have reached the end. After just under two weeks I have seen all 2376 pages of pics. Damn there are some AWESOME pics in here. In some ways, I really wish I could have lived at an earlier time. I see how children used to have an imagination and get outside and do things. Though it appears that for the boys anyway, the only choice of clothing was a white T-shirt and jeans. I really enjoyed the vintage bike pics as well as all the old pics of different cities. Thanks for a great thread. I hope to have some stuff to contribute soon.

There were only '63 and '64 Avantis. The last Studebaker is a Lark based car that was produced in '66. It is in the Studebaker museum. Here is a link to photos and a short description.

Thanks for that link. Very interesting. What a trip the lark with the rear engine is. Looks like a VW engine with duel carbs (or a Porsche).

Does anyone have any photos of Roger Barlow's International Motors from back in the 50s?

They were reported to have lots on Wilshire Blvd in Beverly Hills, Hollywood Blvd next to Grauman's, Sunset Blvd in Hollywood, and on Vine Street.

Barlow was a dealer for MG, Riley, Jaguar, and Mercedes Benz.
