Uh...no, It has not. Nothing has been proven other than that there are different opinions as to what it is. Ask yourself this. I have just bought a new Airflow but I like a different bumper design. As it happens the '34 Chrysler Airflow has what I like and I know it will fit. Maybe I want to add a couple of vertical elements to it. Seems logical. OR in the alternative scenario, I have just bought a new Airflow and can't wait to slap a 5 year old Buick bumper on it which is straight across and turns severely at the ends and doesn't fit the design of my new car, but I love those Buick bumpers. What are the odds?

Nope. So sorry about trying to educate you. Ban me for trying to help if you want. I guess I will have to go back to the AACA and tell the guy who actually owns a 1929 Buick that he has a "1934 Chrysler Airflow" bumper on his car and doesn't know what he's talking about.
