The frame looks like someone on their hands and knees.

That's Colonel "Ned" Green, son of Hetty Green, the so-called Witch of Wall Street, at one time the wealthiest woman in the US. The car is an electric - give me some time, and I'll scrounge up and post a photo of him with his radio gear in the car. Not sure where the photo was taken. He was from Dartmouth, MA.

Finnish antitank weapons...gues you
have to have hair on your chest to

Bro, you are surely right about that! No wonder most of the Congressional Medals of Honor over here have gone to the infantry. To beat the enemy, you have to put your ass on the line. BTW, military historians know how the Finns stood up to the Russian army.

On the other hand, the Russians kicked Hitler's ass at Stalingrad (St. Petersburg) in '42, signaling the beginning of the end of the Third Reich.

To knock out a tank, you have to plant a satchel-charge under the turret, toss a gasoline cocktail in the rear, or fire a rocket or other ordnance (bazooka missile, if you HAVE a bazooka. Ha, ha) into the thinner area of ROLLED-STEEL behind the tracks. Maybe you blow off one of the tracks, making the tank a sitting duck. Frontal attack is out for the infantry, except for sappers who could suck the tank into a tank trap.

Any way you look at it, somebody on either side is gonna get killed. As warriors, I respect the infantry and the tank crews, both. War is hell.

Gotta find something to do with our time so looking at this fantastic thread and finding more interesting stuff to post is a great way to do some 'bench-cruisin', eh?

I still have boxes of magazines and old Kcdachrome slides from the in-laws to go thru - including pictures from the metro Detroit area back in the 30s, 40s and 50s. I know there's a lot of car-related stuff in them, since Grandfather in-law was a Chrysler exec (late 20s to early 50s) and he loved to take pics. Stay tuned folks!
You said it! Winter sucks. WORD UP!

Winter is our rebuilding time. Spend a few months in the garage during the cold months so the Hot Rod comes out in the Spring time all ready to go for another season of fun.

A shocking fashion? The mini-skirt makes its appearance on a Brisbane street corner in July 1967. (Description supplied with photograph). A young woman models a miniskirt, teamed with a stripey top, knitted cardigan and strappy, pointy-toed patent leather shoes, on a street in Brisbane in 1967. Her hair is worn long and loose, with a fringe.

Whats the guy thinking ??
Whats the old woman behind thinking??
