I'm sorry to hear about your mom. At least she made it to 85. My mom died in 1997 at the age of 69 from breast cancer. My dad has been miserable ever since. Now he's 84, has Alzheimer's, is living in an old folks home, and is even more miserable than he was before. Hopefully 2012 will be a better year for all of us....

They just picked up, couble years ago, one of these up from a lake in Russia.
It´s gonna be restored in Finland.
There is not any Brewsters left in the world in flyable condition.

lost my mom and my sister in 95,
sister killed herself cause she was dying of diabetes.
mom had stomach cancer, found it in nov, dead in jan.
dad hung on for a few yrs, went down hill, he died in 07
wifes mom died 6 months after moving in with us back in 99

Thanks, man. We're on the same page. My mom bore me in 1950 at the only hospital in Louisa, KY. So we're fellow briar-hoppers, I guess. Not to get too far off topic, but HAMBers do care about one another and connect where it matters. Happy New Year, buddy.

Up here, we are getting ready to go outside at midnight and listen for all the folks to shoot their guns off. Waste of ammo, but it's always FUN at New Year!!!

(All joking aside, nobody here has shot down a sight-seeing plane on New Year here, yet.)
