There is something seriously wrong with me, all these pretty pinups and I'm drooling over an aeroplane!!
But it is the............. B-58 Hustler......................................... When God said let there be beauty, Convair built this!! ![]() ![]() http://mvburen.home.xs4all.nl/b-58/ Almost as sexy as the F-111C!! Doc.

And again, the XB-58 Hustler prototype.....
![]() And to finish off, a sad time for Australia as the F-111, known as the 'Pig' has been withdrawn from service. The bitcinest ride in the sky down under is now just a museum piece....... (Ok, so these are not old pics but I'll be damned if I can find any old ones of Aussy Pig's.) ![]() The 'Dump and burn, Aussy F-111s were the only ones to do this awesome spectacle! ![]() Australia's F-111 came on strength in 1973 and have given exceptional service since. I still remember when I was young living on the farm at Nagambie, very close to the Puckapunyal Army Base they were doing a lot of joint exercises. Seeing the pig at zero feet tear over the farm and the sonic boom, damn that was loud!! I almost joined the Airforce, luckily I got smart though .......... Sorry for being so O/T. Doc.

The B-58 Hustler was cool. I think it ran in the mountain motor class. Gary

i had a large scale plastic kit model of this Thundersomething and always felt like i had put the wings on wrong; they were wider at the tips than the root as well as thicker. the problem may have had to do with it's fuel too though ... there are a few more photos in Life, iirc.

I guess it was a "skid-steer", not a bobcat. The tires are called "flat-proof",
