They are all '42's and have a unique grille for that year only. The trucks are also '42's. '46-'48 Mercurys have different front ends that appear similar to each other with subtle differences. The pickup truck design of the 46 and 47 is similar to the design of the '42's shown in the photo which was the first year for that style.

Let me see if I can resolve this issue. I went back and reviewed the group that this image came from and someone had mislabeled it as Used cars. It is from a group that included rationing for the start of WWII. The cars and trucks are all 1942 or older and were being held by the government rather than released to the buying public.

Often these images are hard to find because they are so poorly described by people that do not know what they are looking at. One of my favorite instances of this is the image of a Ford Cabriolet that has all 4 tires on a piece of glass to show how strong the glass is. It was described as a Jaguar since someone thought the greyhound hood ornament was a pouncing cat instead.
