Roadkill: great pics as usual.
The WTF motor belongs to the steam car, I'm pretty sure. Can't date the formula V racer, but the Anglia 105E was intro'd in '59 I think. I also remember having a jumper like that when I was a lad in the early 60's. I have seen the pic with the vw before recently, (remember the girl's dress) but didn't notice the hot motor, could be a tongue in cheek photoshop as suggested. Mart.

Folk have been playing with VW's for a long time now. That young girl dates it around early sixties at latest in my opinion. |

Roadkill, I dunno where you get all the shots of OLD Richmond Virginia at . You need to look me up if you ever visit. I give the "Not on the Chamber Of Commerce tour " of former service stations here . Yes , it's a real tour , takes about two hours . scrubba

LEE'S GARAGE, 1947. Built in 1927 as the Arrowhead Highlands Garage. Lee's Garage or Lee's Place became the first mountainstop stopping place on the Rim of the World Drive thanks to 1930's construction of the high-gear road (bypassing Crestline). It was located at todays Cliffhanger Restaurant. Last edited by Brimen; 09-28-2011 at 08:05 AM. |
