Cool. I didn't know Studebaker made military trucks. Anyone know what engines they used?

Back in the day Studebaker built trucks and I'm sure they used the same power plants in the military vehicle as any other trucks.
I was in the Army back in the mid-sixties and drove a lot of tactical vehicles (MOS=64B20 HVY Veh Operator) Fords, GMCs, Mopars, Willys, REOs, and so on, it's hard to tell who built what, you had to read the data plate for that info.

Rare car. Not just everyone got one in 65. You had to be "somebody" like Hoss Cartright to get a Z16.

Picturing the Past celebrates St. Patrick’s Day a bit early today with this nod to Murphy’s Law: If you are hauling a load of debris away from a construction site on St. Patrick’s Day, you will drive over that one patch of sidewalk that had all the dirt beneath it swept away by a sewer line break.

At least that’s how things happened for Angelo LaFiora on St. Patrick’s Day, 1936. LaFiora was hauling debris from the old state arsenal at Second and Monroe streets to make way for the current Illinois State Armory when he drove over the hollowed ground concealed beneath the sidewalk. LaFiora wasn’t injured.
