Does anyone know if any copies of these old movies are still available today (on DVD or VHS), especially this one?

Interesting casting. Jimmy Lydon was "Henry Aldridge" in a series on radio and movies in the '40's. Art Baker was the original host of "You Asked For It" and was a patient of my dad's, Gil Stratton was a sportscaster on local TV, Gloria Winters was the girl in "Sky King".

David Langham, the youngest son of a hot-rod hating father, Judge Langham, buys an old jalopy but, out of respect for his father, doesn't convert it. He changes his mind when Jack Blodgett, the local speed demon, impresses David's girl, Janie Pitts, and David makes his car the fastest in town. Jack steals David's hot rod, and flees the scene of an accident he causes. The car is traced back to David, but the truth comes out in court, although David's father is still unhappy about the car... until David and his friend, Swifty Johnson, use it to apprehend some escaping robbers. The Judge decides to back a movement for building a hot-rod race track for the town. Written by Les Adams

Someone may come along and believe this false crap you have posted.

There is no such thing as a 'tire in a raw state'.

Tires made out of natural RUBBER were white. Because of rubber shortages during world war two, synthetics were developed and after the war tires have continued to be made of synthetic materials.

Thanks for pointing that out and in such a pleasant manner. Here's a little more on the subject.
