What if the Hokey-Pokey IS what it's all about??

[/QUOTE]

BTW there are at least 4 boys in that pic. It does look like a line dance. I remember the Hokey-Pokey done in a circle, too.

Looks more like a conga line! The Hokey Pokey (or Hokey Cokey as we call it over here) is done in a circle, which moves in & out during the chorus.

Jim'shemi291, that big touring car in post 20163 looks like an early 20's Franklin to me. My father in law had a four door sedan. Had a WOOD (Ash) chassis, aluminum body, steel fenders and an air cooled in-line six.

Way-cool shot;one I don't recall seeing before in any of my books.

The TU-144 crew is buried in the second highest ranking cemetery in Moscow, first being interred in the Kremlin wall. Interesting memorial headstone. This is where Krucheve is buried as well as Stalins wife, and son. Pushkin also.

With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person which almost went unnoticed last week. Larry La Prise, the man who wrote "The Hokey Pokey," died peacefully at age 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin. They put his left leg in. And then the trouble started.

Russian aircraft normally have an abbreviation of the designer or designers' names prior to the number. MIG stood for Mikoyan and Gurevich. Tu was for Tupolev. AN is for Antonov, I believe.

If one of the previous posts was Motel 1, then one of these might have been Motel 2.

It seems as though the overall quality and content of these postings is headed downhill. I hope I'm wrong. So many cute "comments" with repeating photos.
Oh, oh...am I gonna get flamed by someone? (laughing)

I noticed the previous Knotts brochure date was 1965, so I thought Hambers might like to see how it was during WWII in 1942-----Quite a big difference!!
