  14. I was scanning old pictures last night and ran across these 2 jems.

This one is Dad's old Chevy, IIRC he said it cost him $15 and he rebuilt the engine w/out pulling it.

And his one is his first new car certa 1966 when he met Mom and her pet.

Keeping the drama out is about as easy as getting people to understand the difference between vertical and horizontal. Hopefully this will keep on topic (Auto related) and drama free.
Looking forward to more cool pictures.

This is Dwight, my friend's dad. He passed from cancer last year, he was a hot rodder and was very cool. He loved to share stories and car stories in particular. His pics belong in this thread.

Here are some "cool" pictures (IMO) of some cars from my past. #1 is my first build-glass T-bucket built in 1970. #2 is my first 32 Ford. It was a 5-W powered by a Studebaker V-8, '39 trans, '40 rear. Love those spindle mounts! #3 is a home-built I bought out of a garage from the widow of the man who made it. It was named the "Land Shark", was all steel and made from parts from about 20 different cars. Very interesting! #4 is a 34 Ford coupe that I shot a picture of in a farm field about 25 years ago. Two years ago I bought the same car at a garage sale! #5 is a real nice '57-post drag car that my students and I built as a High School project. We raced it for 5 years with students behind the wheel. It was a fun time till the program ended, like many schools have done. #6 is a 30s dirt track racer I found in a barn. It had a hand-formed metal body, Model A running gear, and flathead V-8. By the time I thought it over and went back to buy it for $2000, it was gone.Duh! These are just a few of the cool old pics I have after 35 years of hot rodding.
