For the past couple of months I've been absolutely flat -out trying to get the roadster done. I haven't been to a show all year and I'm trying like hell to make the Charlotte Goodguys event.

I got the frame and a bunch of other parts back from the powder coater a few weeks ago. I also got the engine back from Allison Machine as well. (I've got to give them a big thanks - they built the engine in a week! (With service like that; it's no wonder their shop is super-busy!)

In a day, or so, I should be gettting the radiator from TAPP radiator. Luckily, I have a racing radiator shop less than 3 miles from me. Russ, the owner, comes over takes his measurements, makes his patterns and off he goes. He's done work for me before and he builds nice stuff.

Current status is: it's ready to be dropped on the ground, wiring is done, engine is in and plumbing is finished. Sitill have a few minor items to fab and a few things to fuss with. Hopefully, I'll be able to drive this thing outside later this week and I'll post more images then.

Hey Cory, hope to see you there. Another reason I need to go is to line up a sh*t load of Jack Daniels and coke at the hotel on Friday and Saturday nights. I could use them right about now!:)

Scott, I haven't fired it off yet. Just waiting on the rad.

Thanks Hugh. It's kind of what I call a Pulp Fiction build; it's nostalgic looking, but not a period piece.

Quick update...Been dealing with a major cam timing mistake made by the engine builder's employee, finally got the shop owner here, got the car to run. Waiting for engine builder to comeback with degree wheel to get this dialed in. Not out of the woods completely yet. Lost three days on finishing the car up and my stress meter has been BEYOND pegged. ( I actually thought I was gonna have a stroke.)

I'm determined to make Charlotte Goodguys. More to follow....

Guess getting the engine back so quick wasn't such a good thing!

Don't have a stroke Rich! We need to see this on the road!

Question... what black did you end up putting down on the chassis and components?
