I have aquired my great grand fathers 41 dodge. Bought new in fall of 40 in PA. My grandfather and grand mother moved here (IN) from PA in the truck. Plans for it right now are just to restore back to orginal.

At the very least, drop it with some lowering blocks, and install a set of chromeys or Moon discs and a split manifold on it.

That green engine could be a Jasper rebuild, of course one your elders could have painted it also.:)

You will get differing opinions around here (and everywhere else) on what you should do with it. Bottom line is, It's yours do what you want and make your great gramps proud. Very cool truck!

Try Ply-Do , The Plymouth Doctor (same as Dodge) , rustyhope.com is just a few . I am sure there are more . Ebay is a good source also .

Now as for the truck , you have to be one of the luckiest guys to get that truck that has been in the family since it was new . Looks to be in good condition too ! Please keep it the way it was all original and don't change a thing . Just think one day it will be passed to one of your children . You have to really be happy that you have the truck your Grandfather bought new !
Can't wait to see the truck when it's completed ! Love those Mopars !

Nice truck and work. Good to see a Dodge truck on here. They don't seem to get much love. I have a 53 on my wish list.

Very cool truck and as said before, get it back running and right and keep it in the family. I would only make any updates that are safety issues or 'major' reliability issues and keep it as is. Enjoy!

Very cool! I prefer stock with a few small upgrades. Awesome job so far. I am the lucky owner of a Hudson that my grandpa bought new in 50 :)
