I'll say the Sam Barris Merc... but I was just reading that issue of Rodders Journal today, so that may have some influence.

I just found a pic of this douche bag Carey Hart's Mercury online. I don't see whats so special about it. Not even worth putting it on here. I guess it's cause he's a reality TV yahoo or something? Eh, I don't watch TV, who who gives a shit, right?

  12. Mine! ....but only because I want to morph it into a reasonable clone of the Hirohata. :D

I just went over to Riksters site. there are so many cool ones you really can't pick just one.

Hollenbecks light blue one is a real nice car. not sure who built it. I like mine a little more conservative. proportions and mods are nice.

  15. Hard call but if we are talking 49-51's Sam's and the Barris version of the Bettancourt merc a close second. The Hirohata, for me, is just to flashy to be a truely great custom. All Merc's the Matranga certainly enters the race.

Carey first of all is not a dick, god forbid someone offers you a bunch of money to do a tv show cause of course you wouldn't do it no matter how many millions it could net you and your company, you wouldn't wanna "sell out". I guess Jesse James is a dick too. Carey's mercurys is very well done and "like i said" my 2 cents says its great, its my style my flavor and would love to steal a ton of ideas from it. Thats my opion, this isnt the end all say so for great mercs it was just a freaking question to see what others thought. Sam Barris and Dick Dean have built merc beyond compare no question, but if I had my choice i'd take Carey's. Like i said my "2 cents" and I just wanted to see how other felt also..

Dude, there is NOTHING spectacular on that car. It's flat black, with red pinstriping, and red pleats. Who gives a shit? Your $.02 is worthless if you think that car is better than the ones listed above. Stop watching faggot TV and go do some research on REAL CUSTOMS, not some posers attempt.

    Hey,

Sam may, or may not have "cut" the first Merc, but it took the Ayala Briother's to show 'um how it was done. Vertical B-Posts on a Merc border on criminal!

And The Hirohata?.....Please! which one of ya would actually drive a vehicle painted "Sea Foam Green"?

It would be darn near impossible to win against the 49-51's but Nick Matranga's coupe is my favorite.
