Well, after all these years I finally had the chance to make it out to the salt. My dad and I loaded up a rental van Wednesday night and headed for Wendover.

Unfortunately we were only able to stay for a few days but let me say that Bonneville is everything a Hot Rodder dreams about and more. Just the surroundings on the salt are breathtaking and the sound of 300 MPH streamliners in the background and hot rods at every turn are just icing on the cake.

I'm suprised to see the "A" wire wheels on the front of that yellow and black 34. I know I wouldn't want to go over a 100 on those...!!!

Fantastic set of photos. As a guy who ran there in the 80's, I can say you really caught the spirit of the event.
