We are planning a Washington state Eastside VS Westside reliability
run for 2010. It will be for non-overhead cars, hot rods, stockers
whatever as long as it doesn't have a overhead in it. With the
exception of vintage conversions. There will be a group starting on
each side of the state, Antique Auto Ranch in Spokane and Amocat
in Puyallup. Both groups will head 150 miles to Vantage Washington.
The side that gets the most cars to a predetermined place in Vantage
by noon wins. Hopefully this will be a anual event with a (AMBR style)
trophy and the winning sides name and clubs engraved on it.
Like I said we are in the planning phase and I would love some feedback.
I will keep you posted when we have better information on the times and
    dates.
    thanks John

No overheads means no old Chevy or GMC sixes.

I wish I had my Model A frame back.

  13. Can us Canuckians get in on this? And maybe Oregonians too, we'll come from all sides!
Maybe open it up to pre 350 Chevys (327 and earlier) Generators only, no automatics!! Might get way more cars. I'm not saying this for me, just for more cool old traditional cars.

When ya thinking? Fall or Spring would be killer.

I'm in. East WA.vs West WA. with Flatheads. Sounds way better than "The Apple Cup".

  16. Count my Plymouth in

  17. I love the idea, count me in. I'll start researching Eastern Washington routes this week.

  18. Cool concept. The mountains will make it interesting for the Westies, but really cool idea.

Well, looks like I have about ten months to get a flathead into something, and then a month or so of 'sea trials' -figure if I can make a 300mile run across the 'most mountainous state in the lower 48', I shouldn't have too much trouble with the great Hanford desert. Maybe I'll claim EAST and start from Clarkston...that ought to equal out the mountain penalty for the FOG-dodgers from the west side.

  25. Anything Flathead. I don't think Tranny is relivant as long as it is flathead powered. It's not a race of speed, it's a race of the masses. You could putt at 30 miles an hour, and as long as your there before noon, you did good.

Stuff a Buick strait 8 flatty in your Impala and roll :D

  26. Great Idea ! Is this open to flathead sixes also I would be game to take my 49 Ford Coupe . Are we talking just flathead eights ? Westside !!!!!!

  27. ANY flathead is welcome from any year, brand or size. Drive a Sherman tank with a Cad flatty if you want!
