Event Coverage CuznBrucie does the Motor Speedway gig!

What a great time I had at Motor Speedway last night! Thank you to Mel and the Oilers, the Burbank Choppers and the Alter Boys for all being there!! The Kingfish, Automotive Stud, and I (Representing the WHEELERS) drove up from the South Jersey Shore and it was mighty hot getting there! Another HAMBer had even posted some pics that he got of my Coo-Pay heading up Route 9 in the afternoon! See......I actually *do* drive my car to events!

Suffice to say it was a great evening.....saw a lot of old friends...Jetmek, Mike47, Myke, and others.......and made a few new ones (Dave with the Model A Speedster)........the 1/8th mile drags were very cool.....I should have made a pass with my car to see what it would do with the new intake system....I *know* it's faster than last year!

I only had my little pocket camera with me, so there's nothing artistic, but I hope my pics will give you and idea of what it is like at the Motor Speedway! This is the kind of event that is really needed in Jersey....please get out there and support Mel!

Bruce larsen was even there......NHRA Funny Car Champion! A really nice person to talk with.....good to have seen him!

He was sooooooo fast that I couldn't even catch his whole car as it went by!!



Drove home in the cool, dark night, and what a great feeling to be out there on the road throttling it for home! Mufflers rumbling, flatties singing, and that feeling of exhilaration of driving a hot rod!! Can't be beat! Stud and I were able to stay together on the highways and we made it home just before midnight last night!!

Hope you got a good *feel* as to what the "Motor Speedway" is all about......

Jen! Sorry you missed it.......great photo ops, but I only took my pocket snapshooter........there really is *hot roddin' and flatheadin'* going on in Jersey!

I would have enjoyed seeing you.........next time, maybe!

Great photos....looks like a great place for a show....Last time we went to
Englishtown....years ago, we were stuck in a field they cut down for the show....nothing like this place. Really a slick bunch of rides Thanks for posting!!!!
