what is the easiest way to get my car down to bare metal? and what do you use to grind your welds down with?

 

Sand/media blast if it's the body only.

Clean and Strip Discs

An angle grinder with a flap disc works great on welds.

 

These strip paint fast! Buy the type that fits a 4" grinder for better results.

 

if you cant blast it or get it blasted..patience..lots of it
some 80-60 grit a good DA and a big ass compressor.a mask ans some gloves.
aircraft striper workes very well to. good luck.
