In all of my time, one-shot has never so much as touched a car I've owned. I've just never had an occasion or car that I felt was appropriate for lettering or striping. The Tardel-Cochran coupe was the last car I ever thought I would be breaking my...

To read the rest of this blog entry from The Jalopy Journal, click here.
OMG, it's spelled wrong! Just kidding... There IS a guy wearing a "Death Angle" tattoo somewhere in West Texas though... Blue egg up my ass?
Good thing you posted the other pics too! I thought that talented mofo Franco lettered that with the brush in his mouth!
Franco, my main dude, You still as purty as you was back in '72-3 when you was helpin' me make posters to destroy young minds with ! The letterin' looks real nice there, good thing you are a lefty , or it would have been a big fuckin' pain in the ass to paint it on that side of the ol flat motor . Waldo
Looks great, Ryan - a nice touch on there - love the old school script - I'm a typography nut too. yeah, Franco has been laying down the one-shot like crazy right now - he put some stripes down on my roadster last night, and now I'm Round Up ready...
Ryan, Subtly Evil.....''Speak quietly, but carry a LARGE stick!'' I like it the lettering a LOT! Nick.
I've been searching my 66 year old memory for another Hot Rod with the name on the firewall. Pin stripes, YES...gauges...YES,...see through plexiglass, YES. Coudn't think of one with a name....so is this a new 2009 tradition?
You aren't searching hard enough... I used 4 to 5 cars for inspiration - all had lettering on the firewall... Miller.
Kinda small like Richie Cunninghams or was it Jack Tripper? "love dot" tattoo. I was expecting hookers on the doors from a real man
Thanks everyone ,for the comments. Yea it was a bitch I should have kept my mouth shut when Ryan said put it on the top of the firewall. It just didn't look right for that car. Yea im glad im left handed, the hardest part was Tardel for my brush kept hitting the motor so as any ol time striper would do was to brake the handle of my new brush and made it shorter lol.I glad Ryan liked it as any striper knows after a job the dreaded phone call of either (my wife hates it or hey my buddy thinks it to much ha ha.) Endaville Franco...........
"I'm glad Ryan liked it as any striper knows after a job the dreaded phone call of either (my wife hates it or hey my buddy thinks it to much ha ha" Reminds me of when I was getting my truck lettered the first time. In the ~5 panel below the large one where O'Brien Truckers" is painted I told Brian to put "Plaques - Buckles - Accessories". So I was wandering around the garage "reading the walls" while he finished that side. Next time I was around the first side I noticed it said "Neat Aluminum Shit - Cheap". "Ah, Brian I think we have a problem here." I said as he started laughing his ass off. Gotta watch those artistic types Looks good Ryan.
