I'm happy with mine....

I had my eye out for the last 4 or 5 years and I finally brought this '57 J-4 home... Use to sport a Caddie / LaSalle and was said ta have run at Bonnie early on ( who knows )... The glass is ruff, but not too bad for 50+ years of questionable storage.. The glass is lighter than my '55 Victress but still hold'n strong .... Lot to do, but cars don't get simpler than this...

I thought I was done but this takes the cake. Kellison coppied the myers? Bruce lives 4 miles from me and he is one of the best guys you could ever meet. I will never understand how a person (company?) can piss on that man, but hey.......

Sad to see such a following of a shitty car that was produced with a chopper gun (could be hand laid, but questionable) and a zero negative mold. The body is not history , it's capatalism at it's best........

Fuck those pos's...............

Bruce sued Jim in Sacramento and lost. Jim told Bruce that if he'd spent the money on more chopper guns instead of lawyers, he'd be filthy rich as there was more business then either Bruce or Jim could handle.

Jim went on to manufacturer water slides and porti-potties.

People ruin things. That's one of the best things about cars... They don't ruin anybody.

friend got a body, I gave my son the plans for the frame and he was working on putting it into solidworks. I think that's kind of funny....

New Orleans early 60's I saw an ad for a Kellison - went to look at it - it was #905 - the one in all the magazine ads!

$3000 - I think it had a Pontiac engine.

Didn't buy it (I was only 17 at that time for crissakes)...

There's a j-6 for sale now in philadelphia. the add says its Ford powered but its on a '59 corvette chassis. They are looking to get $5k for it. I imagine if its a '59 vette chassis, that alone would be worth 5k.

I answered an ad last summer on craigslist about a set of SW gauges, I went to get them and the guy told me him and his son pulled them out of a kellison they were restoring. He said it was one of 3 convertible models that were still registered. I looked the car up when I got home on google to see what it looked like.. man they are cool!! This was the photo he emailed me.

This Kellison was just restored over here for Lord March who puts on the Goodwood Festival of Speed over here each year. It may be the only Kellison in the UK, all I know apart from that is that it runs a 289ci Ford.

The pic was posted up on a forum over here discussing the recent Goodwood Revival meet.
