I have been lookin for a 64 Buick Wildcat for some time now. Well I spotted this one on Craigslist, and I had to have it. Price was right in my ballpark. The best thing about the car, is that I have amassed a large collection of 64 Buick parts, and they are going to be put to some good use. I also own 3 other Buicks. What do ya think?

Like Kid Rock said "I don't like small cars or really big women, but sometimes I always find myself in them".

I was just saying my collection is almost complete for the fullsize 64 Buicks.
    I have a 64 lesabre 2dr, a 64 lesabre 4 dr, a 63 lesabre Vert, and now a 64 wildcat.

I'm not feeling wide whites on her, I'd say skinny whites. I dig the Astros, flake and lowering.

So are those the bucket seats that they started using in '59? Aren't those super rare?

64 and earlier. They fit in, specially with the nailheads and planned alterations.

    Just what low budget said.
Starting in 62(or somewhere around that time) the trim did not wrap around the top of the seat, and no hard back.

I understand the cut off to be 64, or am I mistaken?

So I have had this car for almost 2 years now, I guess I should post some updates.
Not a lot of progress has been done, I try to work on it when I have a free weekend.
The car did not get touched for a year, due to a deployment to Afghanistan.
    Well lets get caught up.

I started out by removing the rear window and assessing some serious rust issues around the rear window.

    after

I repaired all the rust, purchased a new gasket, and slapped the window back in.
I did a few other minor things, like rebuild the carb, and general tune up.
I did manage to take it to Billetproof NW.

At this point it was parked for a year.

Wow, the seats are remarkable. Some new carpet and a glovebox and it looks like it will be really nice.

So when I returned from overseas, I started to work on the car.
My first course of action was to start cleaning up the interior. I purchased a few things while I was away, so why not put them in the car.
I started by removing the seats, and the nasty carpet. I was surprised at how well off the floor was.
I wire wheeled the floor pans and coated them with Por-15.
Then threw in the new Carpet, it made a huge difference.
I then moved on to the rear track bar bushing. It needed to be replaced, because whenever I would change lanes on the highway, it would give me some considerable body roll.

Then I moved on to some more body work. Rust issues around the Gas filler.
Cut it all out and repaired it.
After that, I needed to replace the heater box and blower motor. Mice had filled it with their nests, which caused it to rot out.
Here is the used one that I cleaned up. It's ready to go in.
    Heat now works.
Before the snow started to fly, I managed to replace the passenger side fender, with one that wasn't mangled in the front corner.
I have also started working on some more of the interior.
Removed the instrument cluster, and replaced a lot of worn out parts. Had to replace the entire circuit board because of intermittent lights, and gauge issues.
Removed all gauges and cleaned everything up.
    Then threw it back together.

Currently I have sanded the entire dash down, and prepping it for a coat of paint.
I have painted some of the smaller pieces already.

Next big plan is to start on some of the body work. It is going to need a lot of work.
here is a photoshop of what I am hoping to achieve.
    Either this,
    [IMG]
    or this,

    Thanks skoh73 for the photoshops!

The black I was contemplating is a gloss black. Hard to show a gloss black in a photo shop.
