I stumbled across that place one day as I took a wrong turn down on South Tacoma Ave. I've never had the chance to go inside, but judging from what I could see through the windows, it's a pretty impressive place.

I see a lot of stuff in those pictures that isn't being "properly cared for". I'll drive up there tomorrow and take care of that. Anyone else wanna come?

Wow...what is also amazing is how many of these stashes of mind blowing vehicles and stuff there must be hidden around the country..here in Austin I've stumbled on yet another amazing stash of a dedicated Chevy man..In a garage of decieving size there were four late 50s FI Corvettes with all the right stuff, two 57 2DHTs with fuel injection and the guy was building a Black Widow clone..there was enough signs, memrobilia, pedal cars,Whizzers, boxes marked "Rochester FI", "Cameo trim", complete aluminum 3x2, 2X4, FI on the shelves to blow my widdle mind all to gotta have it pieces...kinda gives me hope for the future of mankind

Good grief........when I was looking at this, I thought.....if you bought everything that came up on the auction site related to vintage dragsters for two years, you still wouldn't have that much stuff.

Oh man, that place is sweet. 'Yeah, got a few shelves of old hemi covers over there.' Damn, wish I did. That is a great looking old building too and really what makes it all so cool. Those guys have some nice taste.

WAR (Walt Austin Racing) built the Alcohol funny car we ran in the mid 90's for us from scratch. Dave Jeffers built our chassis according to the size of our driver when we went to visit. The welds on that chassis are the best I have ever seen. The whole Austin family is great. We won Brainerd with some tuning help from Walt and beat his son (Pat) in the finals. He would tune the car by sticking his unmuffed ears next to each header at idle. Amazing guy.
