Awesome car, shame it's on a late-model chassis.

  8. Someone needs to buy this and get the late model frame from under it and bring it back to its 1961 show apperance

Too bad he got that far...

  12. Yep, got it! Thanks a lot by the way. Got it hanging up with the correct 41 Merc horn ring, too :D

Some one? I think I stated it quite boldly. He is finished with the tiger shark what else could he be doing.

  14. It would be a shit load of work to get it off that chassis as most guys cut out the floors and firewall of the Merc and weld the body to the donor floor and firewall. Shame it was done.

  15. I'm sure 00MACK will have some backstory on this Merc. Quite an opportunity for a talented builder to restore...

Why's the front windshield look def on mag? As if it had a bit of raparound, but now has not, that's a big deal to change window opening. or is it just the angle?

  17. I thought the same. I think it's the angle of the photo.

It doesn't look like the car on the magazine cover. Not the same car?

  19. Doesn't look like the same car at all. The magazine car has no hood scoops, no peaked hood, looks like a different grill opening and different angle to the quad headlights.

EDIT: HAHAHA probably because the guy said the car was on the Custom Craft cover rather than Car Craft as shown.

  20. Neat car, not too far from me. I should stop by and tell him he's a douche for channeling that car over such a snooze-inducing set up

I wonder if he kept the original chassis...

I have that issue of Car Craft and it's not the same car. The car on the cover is a 1953 Plymouth 4 door that was owned by Buddy Katlik from Fresno California. Still a neat merc though.

The "e" in English should be capitalized, and you misspelled still.:)

If you want to mock someone's grasp of English, you would do well to strengthen your own.
