Out in the dunes at Glamis with that beast would be NIRVANA!!!!. Then, take the Rocket over to the sand drags, equipped with paddles, and whoop some arse!!!!!! Oh yea.....

And it IS a unique vehicle. And it already has CA plates. But it would probably get me in a TON of trouble! Hmm.

Got just got my July Carcraft that has Great coverage and photos of Todd's Comet Cyclone, that how those 65's Comets AFX's come out of the chute. Back when I ran the AFX or BFX I would notice there was always people running to the fence. They look look like there moving while there sitting still.
Does Todd's Comet have Fiberglas fenders and doors on it? I was also wondering how much it weighted w/o driver? Keep up the good work Todd. ~~~~~~~~AFX DAVE~~~~~~~~ |

On my never ending list of future projects is to open up the engine compartment with a Crites kit or something on my own like the FE guy's do so you can actually work on the thing. There is a new Cleveland block coming out soon from Mark Mckeown called the Titus block. It has several improvements over a stock block which is the weak link in a Cleveland. It should be out soon? Love it!!
Todd's car is all steel, save for bumpers and hood, and with him weighs in at around 3,100 pounds, give or take a six -pack... Truly a banner year for the Comets, guys! Three features, and now this came in the mail today. A feature as well, but in Mooneyes own magazine/catalog. A bit different style of photography, but it looks so bitchin!!! ![]()

They sent a few from Japan, but I believe Moon stocks them, and you can order from them. It almost reads like the Rodders Journal. The first story is an INCREDIBLE photo-history of Moon, from post-war on. Pictures never seen before. Cool stuff......

Camero Craft! That's great Roy. You guys made a great showing for the Comets the last year. Very nice. No if MercuryJunkie, would get some press time on his Cammer Comet, that would be pretty cool as well.

Well its been slow going on my end, Between Delays and Family just havent been able to get it together this year yet. Did get the car back home here some pics from Jardines.
Jerry and his son Jarod Crites headers next to the Jardine Custom set Had a great time in Casper at Jardines. Their shop is an old dealership from the 60's. Way Cool. Could spend hours there talking Drag racing and looking at the photos on the wall. If You Get the chance Check them out. www.jar-tec.com |
