64/65 Comets old drag cars lets see pictures
The Mercury Comets were the hot car at the drags in 64. Anyone have good pictures from back in the day? A/FX, stockers, whatever.

 Obviously not a 64/65 but here's Jim McMurtreys Chevy powered '60. Love the driving position. Just a bit of an engine set back.

This car I bought in 1970 was an old drag car turned street car. This is the way I drove it home.
Don't have a picture with the slicks or skinny front tires, but she was a sreamer. Had 289HP with factory 4spd, had scatter shield, Hooker headers, odd, but effective traction bars and 4:89 gears. |
