Default Anyone used this Mac tools paint gun?

I know about Finishline's and Sata's, but can anyone give any good or bad feedback on these Mac paint guns? Mac SG 1300 series.

It's on "sale" but I don't know anything about them. It would be used mostly for sealer and primer, but ocassionaly for base/clear or single stage. So I guess for everything but poly primer.

I found Mac and the Snap ons to be crap.. they dont stands behind those and there hard to aquire parts for.. I found they sprayed as if they were plugged all the time..

Satas are expensive, but they are excellent guns.. a 2000 sata with a 1.3 or 1.4 tip will be all you need.. they give a consistant spray pattern if there looked after properly..

they do make RPs which are cannons.. they do put out more fluid.. but still very consistant..

there are other brands out there that are way better than Mac and Snapon.. and I bet for less money..

I think the last time I looked, the Mac guns were copies of a Sharp Finex. Not a bad gun, was my first to start out with. Your paying for the Mac name though as well, so be aware.

I have had a Mac gun for 10 years or so, and its always done me very well.
When I did need parts, I just called my Mac guy. no problem.
Sprayed a lot of stuff with it. Candy, Pearl, Flake, etc.
I can't brag about having a Setajet, though.

u probably have the old sharpe platinum or titanium. they are known to have rebranded guns for snapon, mac, and matco and others.

Its okay, ive got 2, one for clear and a touchup. Kinda shitty actually now that i think about it. Sprays nice when it sprays, had to rebuild it already after a year or so. Id try and find a used sata and overhaul it if need be. My guy stood behind it..but ive also purchased ALOTA shit from him. I wouldnt buy it.

I'll second that, I bought my Sata right after the Sharp shit the bed in need of a rebuild. Seems fairly common the more I think about it.

Good rule of thumb with paint guns is that you get what you pay for.

I couldn't afford a new Sata, so I bought a low mileage used one.

One of the best investments I've made.
