When I was a kid, way back when the earths crust was cooling, some guys used to shorten cars. Here is picture of a 57 Chevy. I am not real hot on some of these but some kinda attract my attention. Maybe I am a few beers short of six pack. Anybody have anything like this on the HAMB, show us the pics and details if you've done one or have one.

Funny thing, most of the shortened cars I've ever seen have been 57 Chevy 4doors and wagons, a few 55-56 Chevies, again 4doors and wagons, and the rest...VW buses!!

Looks like a six-pack someone took the middle cans out of and pushed back together.

There was a few 5,6,7 Chevys around here when I was a kid too. I remember a yellow 57 Chevy, it ended up in the Seattle area.
Theres still a 55 Chevy around here, it has a killer sbc in it with a 4gear. It pops the wheels all the time! -Shiny

Some buddies and I did one out of a 55 chevy wagon when we were in high school because we were bored and the car was a parts car for a 55 post. It came out really nice and Jerry drove the thing and put it in shows all the time.
At one time it was popular to build these and the 56 Chevys had a corvette feel to them with the side trim on.

Most of them that I've seen were made by sectioning out the back doors of a four door to turn them into a super short 2 door. I've seen the VW buses shortened like that too. If a VW bus is super short, it does a wheelie every time you hit the gas.
They look pretty goofy, but goofball stuff like that is fun to see sometimes. |

It's funny, I remember seeing them as a kid also and I know where one is today rotting that a guy won't sell (and NO, I was not interested in buying it). If you dig them thats cool, but I hated them then and now.
