Default Info or pics of a 1939 Plymouth truck?

I ran into a friend of a friend at the grocery store today who told me had a complete 39 Plymouth truck that he was willing to sell for $3000 because of medical bills. He said the body work was done, but he had not gone through the motor yet. He is a part of a local Model A club so I now the truck has to be half way decent. I have not looked at it yet due to the holidays and family being in town but plan on it next week. I was thinking it would make a cool chopped kustom truck. Does anyone have any pics or info on this year and make of truck? I know it's rare, but real similar to a dodge.

Duece Roadster, thanks for the pics. I think a 39 and a 40 are very similar.

39-40's should have the headlites sitting in the valley of the front fender closer to the hood, in 41 they got moved to the crease in the fender. I always prefered the 39-40's. Otherwise very much the same as Dodge except for grille design and badging.

I have a 37 Ply P/U and they can be chopped , bagged and draged , but sill looks great ! I have seen many 39-40 which are different but haven't seen one all done up like that . I have seen them pretty much stock with a Mustang 2 front end but that's about it . They look real nice in the stock format with mags and pipes ! This is just my 2 cents worth !

Thanks for that info, rusty1. I knew I had a 39-41 Plymouth PU, but I wasn't sure what year. Now I know it is a 41.

What size wheels and tires are on that one? (most interested in the front tire size to know what will fit on my 41 Dodge)

From my dad, who owns both a Dodge and a Plymouth.

"Nice photos. The 39 looks just like 40 except 39 did not have the three
chrome strips on top of grill and no park lights on the head lights."

"Some one ask about wheels. They came standard with 600x16. Dodge and Ford 15 and 14 inch wheels fit."

The editor of the magazine "Vintage Truck" has been restoring his so there are some good articles there for restorations, not that that applies to this forum.
