I try to make a new piece of Christmas yard art every year for my wife. This year I had an opportunity to make something really unique. An older man I knew since I was a kid passed away and left a bunch of old Model T parts in a storage building. His widow asked me to help clean out the shed. I could not believe how much junk he had collected. These parts looked like they were left over from a build.
ffice:office" /> I couldn’t throw the stuff in the trash so I gave most of it away but I kept a few pieces because I had an idea! Below you will see my Model T sleigh. I used front & rear fenders plus the seat and seat frame. The parts (I have been told) are from a 1926 Model T. Emptying out the shed. ![]() Pile-o-parts! ![]() Construction begins. ![]() ![]() Runners were some old Ford ? trailing arms. ![]() ![]() ![]() No floorboard. ![]() Front yard debut! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Merry Christmas! Ummm... was there a decent 26-27 closed car windshield frame in that shed by chance? If so, please PM me.

Way cool. The trailing arms look like late 60's chevy.

Great idea, that came out amazing. I think if I put that on my front lawn it would get stolen for the scrap value.

Thanks everyone for the compliments.
Yea, I have a great wife, she was so excited about this project. Every time I look at it I can’t believe I have a pile of rusty metal in the front yard with the wife’s approval!! Not car related but here is what I made her last year. ![]() Bart |

I like the gingerbread family but your sleigh is the most immaginative and well executed piece of art I have seen here on the HAMB. Great Job!
