Well it's been a while since I worked on the coupe and posted an update. Earlier this summer I sandblasted my doors and back window and saw how much rust was in them and I guess it let the air outta my balloon so I quit working on it for a while. But now I have new skins for the doors and I have another back window and am making some progress.

I started the skeleton flooring earlier this summer and am now to the point where it's almost done. Toast came over last week and helped me get some patch panels on the car (doofus ie. me, didn't take pics of the patch panels?), which was holding back from finishing it. THANKS TOAST!

Here it is, nearly done. I'll be adding another cross bar on the firewall tomorrow then I'm read for sheetmetal, Thanks goes out to EVEL for posting pics of his coupe, that really helped me alot!!

Also got the cowl blasted, and the firewall smoothed out...

    UPDATE! · 12/14

Got some more flooring done... man this is the suckiest part of the build seriously!! Even the tubing was more fun than the sheetmetal!!

    UPDATE: 12/28

Got a little more done to the flooring, before I had the brake pedal mounted to the side of the frame. But the pedal I was using, I just couldn't figure out a way to make the flooring go around it and seal it up so I cut a few pieces of the skeleton out and decided to mount the pedal to the floor and just shorten it! I think it'll work a lot better and I'll only need a 3/4" rubber plug for the brake line!

Put a couple beads in the pans under the seats since I didn't have any cross braces under there. Looks pretty cool!

Wow Chad, those little outer frame extensions and the extra support for the cowl look great! Glad to help on the patch panels, it's really coming along.

Did you find a Crank bolt?

Yea I got a crank bolt, but it was only .25" longer, going back and get the 4" one and cut it down.

When/if you pull the motor or trans, you going to pull both as a unit? I like the way it looks and what you've done. Have you thought about leaving a small access hole for the bellhousing bolts?

You've got it looking good, I worked some on mine last week and hope to be able to take it around the block for the first time this week if I don't find an "aw Shit" hid somewhere....

You can get to the tranny bolts from the front when the cowl is mounted, so no problems there. One thing I didn't do, cause I didn't know at the time, was to make the tranny crossmember removeable. So to take the tranny out, you have to pull the motor, and to get them both out as one unit you have to pull the radiator/grille headlights. :(

But it's not too late, when I take the body off to finish the underneath side, I can make the crossmember rememovable then.

Looks Great! That thing is really coming along. Other than the drive shaft tunnel the rest is flat pieces. You passed me on the interior again!
