Event Coverage Day of the Drags '08 - Saturday

Got a chance to spend a few hours at my first Day of the Drags. Had a great time. Wish I coulda spent more time. Here are some pics. Enjoy!

Did you note the lack of billet ?? refreshing !! Think cassey put over a hundred miles on his coupe..1/4 at a time..

 

It was a beautiful day! Lots of great cars and people! The Kontinentals did a great job!! I cant wait till next year. Plus I got to join the 100 mph club which made my day. Doesnt sound fast but when your in a 34 ford with straight axle and drum brakes it feels like 200!!!!

Yeah, it was truly a HAMB event. Very few OT cars. It was one of the few events I've been to that made me wish I'd been to all the previous years. And yeah, I think Casey has more fun with his car than anyone I know of.

 

Bobby, what were you driving. I think we'd all like to see that. Congrats on hitting 100!

Thanks for the pics. Sorry I didn't get to go today even though I don't have have a car now. But, it's my granddaughter's 18th birthday. Guess I'll get the lowdown from D.W. monday at work. Looks like everyone had a good time. Maybe I'll be able to have one by next year.

 

Good picture post.....makes me wish that I was there.....Oh yea, I "was"....dang this sure is a good event and growing. We just left the track at 9:45 and there were several group "parties" that you could walk up to and be welcomed to visit......what a cool time....and yea, for those of you who "want to come".....be there next year!

Thanks for posting the pics Lee. It was good to see you yesterday. Between running my own car, helping Ben to get his Topolino running, and helping Blasted with his brakes I didnt get alot of time to wander the pits. Are you going to be at the Dog and Duck tommorrow night?
