Photoshop has got to be the greatest tool for hotrodders outside the Mig.
Costly modifications can be made with a squeeze of a mouse. Expensive mistakes can be avoided with the delete button.

The skills of photoshop artists are incredible and put my lame attempts to shame. I'll share a few of mine to get the ball rolling.

If you need a little photochop work done and you feel more comfortible with a welder, Maybe, just maybe if you ask nice and post a good picture* of your ride, someone will pick up their mouse and hammer your lid, lower your pan, or flame you ( literally).

*(personally, I like straight on side views or front/ rear views, no angled shots, but thats just me.)

Welcome in and watch where you step.

the actual car had all the stock trim and bumper guards. I chopped it and smoothed it out a bit, then dropped it a few inches. other than the 50 grille (mines a 49) and the 18" 5 spokes this will be my 49 someday

  7. I've been working on one. I too use Paint; I'm pickin' at pixels! I was gonna drop this one ('32 Essex) on the '32 Ford H.A.M.B. Art Challenge when finished, and say, "oops, this isn't a Ferd". The hard parts are gonna be getting the front sheetmetal and engine looking decent, like they're at the proper angle. Photobucket changed it to a jpeg so it got a litte screwed up. The other one is a nightmare from an older Art Challenge.

    Thanks,

  14. This is the photoshop of my current Fleetline project that I did about 10 years ago, before I had the car, actually. I was inspired by this Steve Stanford drawing from R&C in the late 80's.

I was thinking last night how we haven't seen a revival of shortened cars line in the late 60's, we use to call "stubbies".
I remember seeing unibody dodge and ford trucks, VW vans, 57 Chev wagons, 55 chevs coupes... (all once 4 doors) chopped and turned into stubby little 2 doors. Sure they looked cartoonish, but they were a cool milestone in car history. I wonder if they'll make a come back?

    My dream.... one day!

    Here is how it started.

This will be after I'm done with it... all in a mid to late 40's style

This one would be nice as well.. although I personally prefer the 40's style version...
