For my '37 Pontiac coupe. Don't want modern billet crap, also don't want slot mags, cragars or American Racing either.

Here's a pic of it photoshopped to the stance it'll have once it has an engine.

    Radir? Halibrand?

How far back does the salt flat style date back?

Also wouldn't mind some wide whites with cheater slicks.

Those are in my mind too with the wide whites. Maybe the chrome bullet centers.

The body is flawless, the paint has a couple adhesion problems.

Seriously considering re-painting in black with oldschool flames....orange, yellow, baby blue pinstripe, etc.

The engine I have is a fresh mid 60s 428 Pontiac with a tunnel ram and HO manifolds from that era.

I'm going to guess the next few responses will include steelies, probably chrome or black with spider caps and some wide whites like American Classics from Coker. Or at least thats what I would choose...

when i say chrome steelies, i mean the original steel wheels chromed. not the uni lug cheap ones. im talking the round style with the 5 clips in the center. and then some Firestone pie cut tires.

BTW, Not a whole lot of room for tire in the back....Currently has 8" wheels with 4.5" backspacing and 235/6015 tires. About maxed out tire-wise and positioned right just like that.

It has a '57 Pontiac rear with Viintage Hurst-Airheart rear discs and Mustang II disc up front.

not sure about black or white i think both would look good. but the tires are skinny, i believe only 5 or 6 inches wide at the tread. you can buy them in many different sizes.

I'd use body-color steelies, wide whites, some kinda Pontiac dog-dish hubcaps, and (maybe) beauty rings.

But then, that's what I put on almost everything.

check out Groucho's 38 for reference!

  15. Do they still make a Radir single rib? The single rib would mimic those character lines on the fenders.
