1957 was such a good year for Americana. I really REALLY dig engines hiding under the cowl in '28-34 Fords.
1957 was good for some other things too. BOTH of my cars were built that year, one in the month this issue was published. And my mom was born in '57!

That is for sure one of those photos I've passed up on the net many times then realize it didnt make sense so I'd click back to the page, check it out at least a minute or two and then realized it looked crazy complicated that I put on the back burner many times. Wow! I finally get to check it out in full detail today. That is a serious show & full drag race car!
Thanks for posting that article its what makes hot rods of the 50's so unique. This motor looks like a hot rodded Pipe Organ. I like it and maybe this could be a new trend for retro roadster headers. |

Thanks! ...from another who had only ever seen that first photo. I've had it saved for a while now as I plan to run a 430 Linc in my '34 (SUUUUM-DAY!) but had never seen the full coupe... and you're right, it's beautiful.
As for you Jerry... rub it in, why don't ya?!

That is what everyone building a Model A should use as a goal for ride height, profile, chop, stance. Show me a better one. It just looks angry, purposeful, fast, and PROPORTIONED (what a concept).
Ryan's A gives me the same vibe. Frank

![]() Really a cool car, even if the fuel gets a little warm. Love the way it sits and I've always been big on engine setback, the headers, well ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Can't wait to cruise the pits this weekend. Won't be drivin' this year, but as long as someone lets me sit once in awhile I'm good.

Ryan, I had actually thought of scanning that article in a few weeks ago. It was an issue I just kept going back to for the same reasons.
