Too cool man. I could spend days reading all those patents. Seeing how inovative old Henry was just blows my mind.

I don't remember all the details of the story, but at one time you had to submit a working model of whatever it was you wanted to patent. This caused a big storeage problem at the patent office. Some paper pusher desided since "EVERYTHING" had been invented there was no need to make working models. Wonder what year that was?

Everything new is old again!

Now I'm going to have to hear how airbags and that weird split I-beam/tube front axle are 'traditional'... and they'll have the patents with dates to back up the arguement!!!!!
